You Are Invited to My Birthday Paw-tey at the PAWS Office, Quezon City on August 18, 2012
I'm happy and grateful that the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) allowed me to celebrate my birthday at their compound (along Aurora Blvd., near Ateneo) on August 18 (Saturday), 2pm onwards =) I'm thinking of activities like orientation and tour of PAWS, sharing of pet or animal stories, sharing of talent/s (who wants to perform? =), raffle of PAWS products, etc.
Who are interested to come and join the fun? =) Just leave a comment or contact me at (+63)908-3768088. However, instead of giving me a gift, I encourage attendees to donate to PAWS in cash or in kind (dog & cat food, old newspapers, toys, etc. Please CLICK HERE to see a complete list of what they need here). My boyfriend Joey Nespral has already decided to donate 20 kilos of cat food worth P2000 =) But if you still want to give me a gift, it would be more than welcome hehe =)
Please bring umbrellas and raincoats just in case it rains. We would need that in the PAWS tour of their compound. You can bring kids as long as they can be controlled, in other words, "hindi pasaway" since there are cats roaming about in the area. The children (and adults) might sustain injuries if they bug the cats too much. You can also bring your family and friends who love animals. Babies are welcome =)
If you are going and you'll bring a person or people with you, please inform me their names and the total number of people coming along. Please also reply soonest if you can come for the food head count. See you there =)

Clawdaddy Blow-out for Passing the March 18, 2012 Real Estate Boards
I recently passed the real estate brokers exam and wanted to treat my family to dinner at Clawdaddy, Bonifacio High Street as blowout. While there, they ordered soup, two orders of salad, big pasta plate for sharing, salmon, and two crabs that costs about P1,200 each plus rice and drinks. I think my mom noticed my face growing pale upon hearing their long list of orders so she insisted that she pay. Thanks Mama for the treat! Hehe =)
To all real estate brokers who passed the grueling March 18, 2012 board exams, congratulations! Hope you enjoyed your victory parties, treats and blow-outs as well =)

Reflections on Good Friday
Thank you very much Lord! Even if I'm a sinner and not ever worthy, You still died for me...
"Crucified
Laid behind a stone
You lived to die
...Rejected and alone
Like a rose
Trampled on the ground
You took the fall
And thought of me
Above all..."

My Favorite "Live to Dance" Audition by "Jill and Jacob" =)
Being an American Idol (AI) fan, I was planning to watch the Top 11 Episode last Thursday (March 24) at my usual preferred 8:00 PM slot. However, as I flicked all through the 100+ channels of my cable TV in my Tarlac hotel room, lo and behold, only Star World did not have any sounds!!! What the...???!!!
Good thing, the sounds came back eventually, but I had to wait for the 11:00 PM slot. Whew! I'm so glad and relieved American Idol is replayed often =)
But while waiting for the late episode of AI, I came across Paula Abdul's "Live to Dance" show. It was the premiere episode (they were scouting Los Angeles for talents) and it was my first time to ever watch it. Paula transferred from being a judge on American Idol to Live to Dance, from a singing contest to a dance contest (Paula is indeed talented and she's one of my favorite judges on AI because she is not in the business of breaking others' hearts and destroying their dreams through her criticisms).
I checked out "Live to Dance" and it was the audition of Jill and Jacob that moved me... Like Paula, it gave me goosebumps. I could feel the stirring interplay of emotions between the couple... Wow! Awesome! I don't get tired watching this on YouTube. And here it is, I'm sharing it with you... =)
P.S. To those of you who want to know the song Jill and Jacob are dancing to, it's "When Your Mind's Made Up" from the movie "Once" =)

It's A Glam Night with Adam (G) Lambert Tonight =)
Adam Lambert "Feeling Good" in American Idol
Since I discovered Adam Lambert in American Idol, I dreamed that someday I'll be able to see him perform live. This dream is going to finally come true at the SM Mall Of Asia (MOA) Open grounds tonight (October 10, 2010) at 8:00 PM. (You can visit my events blog "Playbill Philippines" if you want to know more about the details of this glam concert =)
For those of you watching this concert later like my fellow American Idol fanatic, Grace Caras, see you there... =) Let's bring our umbrellas and raincoats just in case it rains (but I hope not!) My friend, Judy Estrada, who just recently watched the John Mayer concert on the same venue suggested that "raincoats are far better." =)
I'll be watching with my mom, my sister and her fiance Melvene, my cousin Patpat and my boyfriend Joey. Thanks very much to my mom who paid for our VIP tickets. We appreciate your generous heart =)
I shared a video above of one of my favorite performances in American Idol... by Adam Lambert of course! Since I'll be meeting Adam finally later, I'm "Feeling Good" too =)

The Kind of Classmates I Had in Creative Nonfiction Writing Class Last Semester...
These are just the kind of classmates I had when I took up Creative Nonfiction Writing Class in the University of the Philippines Diliman under Professor Wendell Capili last semester.
Go Miro! All the best =)

MANILA, Philippines – “I write because for me it’s the best way to see the world and see the things we normally can’t,” says Miro Frances Capili. “Writing is the best way to encapsulate life – or at least try to. Good literature can explore and improve the human condition.”
A winner in the recent Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature, Miro – who is all of 17 years old – made history in the literary scene, being the first to win the top prize in both the Kabataan Essay category and in the Essay main category.
